Hello all, I thought to make an entry here, listing examples of the most recent prices for various services in Puerto. The first 21 days in the Philippines is free, then it's 3,000 pesos for an extension to 59 days, after which the cost is 4,500 pesos per 59 days. You can stay up to 1 year on a tourist visa before leaving the country. A tooth extraction is 300 pesos, crowns are about 2,000 pesos each and porcelain dentures 1,600 pesos for a set of 4. A bottle of beer at home costs 15 pesos, beer in the bars 40 pesos, 700ml bottle of Rum 70 pesos, 1.5 litre coca cola is 40 pesos. Rice is 25 pesos per kilogram and vegetables range from 25 to 45 pesos per kilo. Raw pork is 160 pesos and chicken 120 pesos, beef can be 180 pesos. Cigarettes range from 10 to 25 pesos for a 20 pack. Gasoline is 40 pesos per litre. Electricity is 10 pesos per kilowatt hour. A good meal in a restaurant can range from 200 to 400 pesos. If you need to ask about anything else, just make an entry here or send me an email etc etc. Hope this information helps.

Dean is very helpful going with me to Manila to find the things I was looking for. His knowledge of the Philippines & protocols is very helpful. Sorry I had to cut short my vacation only 4 months due to problems back home. Hope to get back to Dean's place next year.

A great, quiet location with friendly neighbors. Dean is a fantastic landlord even though the typhoon made a mess around the place. He had everything under control. Thanks for having a generator at the apartments. I completed the gym construction project in Villa Flor on time.

We had a lovely vacation at Aldanmar. Dean & Mj are wonderful hosts, giving advice if we needed it about Puerto Galera and things such as visa requirements. The evening bbq's and red wine with quiet music under the moonlight shimmering on the water cannot be compared anywhere I have been in the world. Good luck mate, love Paul & Maria.
